Social & Cognitive Impairment Program (SCIP)

The Barry Robinson Center is re-conceptualizing and promoting the work we do with youth who struggle to succeed due to their Social and Cognitive Impairments. The original clinical objectives of this program were developed as a “Center for Excellence” for adolescents with learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, and/or emotional/behavioral issues and remain in effect today. The SCIP Program will incorporate the evidence based Boys Town Psycho-Educational Model with targeted interventions designed to improve coping strategies and relationship skills to help each child experience success at BRC and greater stability when they return to their home environment.
