St. Brendan's Harbor
For over 75 years, The Barry Robinson Center has provided programs and services with one clear mission, “to improve the lives of youth and their families”. Our dedication to restoring lives and strengthening families continues with St. Brendan's Harbor at BRC. By working with the client and family, we develop achievable goals toward relapse prevention, sustained recovery and an improved quality of life.
Located at The Barry Robinson Center, St. Brendan's Harbor provides residential substance abuse treatment services to adolescents from all over the United States. St. Brendan's Harbor offers a small, close-knit treatment community where adolescents participate in an intensive and comprehensive treatment program designed to treat all aspects of the individual -- body, mind and spirit.

Situated on a beautiful, 28-acre campus on the border of Virginia Beach and Norfolk, St. Brendan's Harbor at BRC provides a recovery journey for adolescents diagnosed with primary substance abuse disorder. This diagnosis requires intensive, intervention as well as educational and experiential approaches to recovery.

Individual Treatment Group and Family Therapy
At St. Brendan’s Harbor, each client’s treatment is supervised by our Medical Director, Board Certified in Addiction and Psychiatry. The Medical Director oversees a team of professional staff dedicated to providing high quality, individualized care to facilitate the client’s recovery. The Treatment Team is comprised of licensed professionals, including Certified Substance Abuse Counselors, Licensed Professional Counselors, therapists, nurses and teachers.

Because each client has unique needs, our staff creates a personalized treatment and recovery plan. Clients participate in a variety of groups and activities emphasizing disease education, relapse prevention, and focusing on a personal plan for sustained recovery. Family is an important part of recovery process. Each family member will have the opportunity to learn about addiction, relapse prevention and open communication.
