Clinicians serving clients with reactive detachment disorder can earn 25 (CE/T) credits by attending, Attachment, Trauma and the Circle of Security: Workshop on Circle-Informed Psychotherapy on February 15-16 and March 8-9, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, located at 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach.

Workshop presenter is Robert S. Marvin, Ph.D., founder and director of the Ainsworth Attachment Clinic and Circle of Security® Network in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Marvin, a child and family clinical psychologist and research scientist, has been working with young children since he was an undergraduate. His specialty is children and their caregivers where there has been a disruption in the child’s family relationships during the early years of the child’s life: separation of the child’s parents, maltreatment by caregivers, and children in the foster care or adoption systems.

Marvin is Professor Emeritus in the School of Medicine and Research Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Virginia. Throughout his career, Marvin has been active in basic and clinical attachment research, and research with families who have children with chronic medical conditions and/or histories of problematic or disrupted early relationships.

With a variety of colleagues, he has developed and tested numerous attachment-related procedures that are used in basic and clinical research, and in clinical practice. He has written and co-authored more than 75 articles, books, and film documentaries on this work.

25 (CE/T) credits available from NASW and NBCC pending program approval, and all attendees will receive a 25-hour Certificate of Participation.
