The Barry Robinson Center

In addition to the psychiatric and individual therapy services provided to address each adolescent’s primary mental health diagnosis, adolescents are also given structured opportunities to assess and address substance use behaviors as part of their comprehensive treatment plan.

As part of The Barry Robinson Center’s holistic model of care, we offer The Seven Challenges ™ program, a structured dual-diagnosis intervention designed to support adolescents with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.

While many programs address adolescent substance use, The Seven Challenges ™ program is distinct in its developmentally appropriate, adolescent-specific design, which:

  • Brings adolescents together in a supportive peer environment designed specifically for their age group.
  • Encourages meaningful change through psychoeducation, compassionate care, and personal autonomy.
  • Incorporates engaging books, guided journaling, and interactive activities to help adolescents understand and apply The Seven Challenges ™ in their daily lives.
